Adam Berman is a fifth-year rabbinical student at the Schechter Rabbinical Seminary in Jerusalem, expected to be ordained this coming December. Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Adam has previously led High Holiday services at the Fort Belvoir Jewish Congregation and Elon University Hillel, and is a graduate of the Ashira Tehillot program for advanced training in the High Holiday liturgy in Jerusalem.
Adam holds a BA in Political Science from Yale University, an MA in Judaic Studies from the Schechter Institutes, and served for two years as a lone soldier in the Israel Defense Forces. He and his wife Emuna are the proud parents of five-month-old Asaf. Adam enjoys hiking, vegetarian cooking, and being a long-distance fan of Big Ten football.

REMEMBERING YOUR LOVED ONES AT THE HOLIDAYS
We’re looking forward to a wonderful High Holiday season with dynamic worship experiences, creative alternatives to traditional worship, and lots of great food and friends. We also know that being away from home for the High Holidays can feel unfamiliar. We want all of our students to feel welcome and connected, and we believe we can do that by bringing a piece of your experience at home here to Purdue Hillel. Please use this form to add any of your loved ones to our Yartzeit List that we will read at Yizkor services and throughout the High Holidays, because your family is our family. Also, stop by Hillel anytime between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur to customize a Yahrzeit candle in memory of your loved ones.
Stay in the loop about the happenings at Hillel.
