Meadow Davis (she/her) is a recent Anthropology graduate from CSU Chico, with a research focus on rural Jewish communities in Northern California.
Growing up in Chico, she has been active in her hometown synagogue as a Shul School teacher, volunteering at the annual Pride booth, and engaging in Jewish learning and community-building as a lay leader through the Makom Fellowship for Small Town Jewish Life.
In her own Jewish journey, she has learned that everybody has their own Torah; their own unique relationship and path through their Jewish life. This understanding is key in her desire to uphold an equitable, diverse, radically inclusive, and joyous Hillel experience for all. She hopes her presence on campus can provide Jewish Boilermakers with an open, safe place to explore Jewish culture, knowledge, and to find refuge on their campus and empowerment to embody and explore their own unique Jewishness.
Growing up in Chico, City of Trees, Meadow has a deep love of the outdoors, and is always up to go car camping, hiking, and exploring new national and state parks. She is an avid collector of vintage clothing and sewing patterns, and enjoys reading, spending time with her family and partner, and crafting. In the future, she hopes to attend rabbinical school.
